News, this time about an interesting expansion starting 1 October 2022. That’s when our new partnership with NorthC Datacenters officially begins. A great update to our portfolio of fantastic data centers!
After our first partner Digital Realty (with locations Business Park & Science Park in Amsterdam), we have arrived at data center number three via our brand new partnership with NorthC. The upcoming presence of DC1.AMSTERDAM at location NorthC Oude Meer, near Schiphol Airport, is a logical next step on our intended path to a national point of presence.
Market leader in the Netherlands
NorthC is an industry leader in regional data centers. With locations in the heart of metropolitan regions Amsterdam, Rotterdam-The Hague, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Groningen as well as Germany and Switzerland. We are joining hands with this major Dutch data center player. With the further keywords being: joint efficiency and, on our side, providing customization, knowledge and expertise for Business Class Colocation.
In addition, we share a strong preference for building personal relationships; such as perhaps with you and your company as a future customer.
About our newest data center NorthC Oude Meer at Schiphol Airport
NorthC Oude Meer is located at the Fokker Logistics Park, near Schiphol Airport. As a result, there is excellent access to the data center via all modes of transportation. NorthC is also a great (co)location in terms of security. The park has its own security, with its own security center and, among other things, access control based on license plate recognition.
Our newest location also has all the facilities in place to ensure maximum continuity of service. For instance, it is built according to the Uptime Institute’s Tier 3 standard. All components are implemented at least N+1. And scheduled maintenance can take place there smoothly without service interruptions. This is called Concurrently Maintainable; including redundant power and cooling infrastructure.
Our racks in NorthC Oude Meer
DC1.AMSTERDAM has two types of racks at NorthC Oude Meer: half and full racks based on 1.5kW and 3kW, respectively. We supply these to our customers with the corresponding PDUs (Power Distribution Unit).
